I know this phone has been out for awhile, but I still want to review it since this is still a great phone, I know they now have the BlackBerry Storm, that is touch screen to compete with Iphone now.  The BlackBerry Curve has to be the best phone I have owned so far, I’ve owned many cell phones, and this one has to be the best one.  The reason why I like this phone so much is that it’s like I’m carrying my personnel computer with me, but in my pocket.  I could of bought at the time when I was at the store the Iphone or this phone, I went with the BlackBerry since Iphone was the first phone Apple has brought out, and I know usually there are bugs, when new phones come out, so I stuck with BlackBerry a well known Cell phone brand and a cell phone company that has been in the field for sometime.  Just so you know the BlackBerry Curve and the Iphone were the same price at the time, when I bought the BlackBerry Curve.  The first time I tried out a BlackBerry was my friends phone, I remember when he got the shinny new BlackBerry Pearl, it was a real nice phone, but the only bad thing about it was it’s small keyboard, it wasn’t a QWERTY keyboard, meaning that you had to push for example a button three times to get a different letter, where as the BlackBerry Curve has a full QWERTY keyboard that is just like a computer keyboard, and it has all the keys, no need to double tap keys to get a different letter, which I hated with my old phones in the past, that is why I never used text messaging, until now.  I also have my Blackberry set up so I receive email’s from my email address to my phone, It’s great being able to write and read emails on the go, it was fairly easy to setup as well.  The BlackBerry messenger is another great feature, which basically is, a Messenger that is exclusive to BlackBerry phone’s, I remember starting off with one friend on the list, now I have about 15, since now most of my friends and people I know carry BlackBerrys now, the great thing about this Messenger, is that is built into the phone software, so it doesn’t take up much battery power, and you have the ability to send voice messages to people on your list, each person who has a BlackBerry has a PIN number which is used for the Messenger service, so there is no search function to add random people, only people you know get on your list.  Most people who addicted to BlackBerrys are called Crackberrys which is pretty funny.  The BlackBerry web browser is ok, it’s not the best but it’s fine, it does its job, but mostly websites that contain tables, it will show them all over the place, it can’t render tables for some weird reason.  The phone is a nice size and weight, its just perfect and the construction of it is heavy duty, I’ve dropped it a couple times, (I have a protective rubber skin on mine to protect from scratches and impact) and it has never broken or scratched up.  There is also many applications you can get for the BlackBerry and games, you can now find it in the recently newly added BlackBerry store.  The phone also has a built in GPS, so in case you loose it, or are lost in the woods, or calling an emergency number, they will know your location, this depends on the emergency centers technology though.  It has has a nice map function, that if you select my location, it tells you exactly where you are on the map and its accurate, great for when you are lost in your car.  The Battery life on the phone is pretty good lasts on average two to three days, the phone has a standby button the top which reduces its power consumption.  The clarity of voice is great, and the voice dialing feature works great as well, people can hear me clear just like I’m on a land line phone.   There is of course a couple problems with this cell phone, One of them is that the speaker is very quiet, when playing a Youtube Video on it, you have to practically put the speaker to your ear, I actually noticed that if you remove the back battery cover, the speaker is exposed and louder.  The other problem is, the phone needs a reboot, just like a PC, to refresh its memory and CPU, or else it really slows down, and you start seeing the hour glass figure a lot more, and the only way to reboot this phone is to take the battery out, which is kind of a pain, the shut down function does not actually shut the phone down completely on the phone’s menu.  Another thing also is the open ports for head jack and battery charge, all my cell phones had covers for them, this phone has them all exposed, water can easily get into these and damage the phone, so keep it dry.  I also noticed that sometimes emails don’t get through all the time.  It’s expensive to own one of these phone’s, expect a pricey monthly bill, since you do not want to get this phone without a unlimited Internet plan, I saw on the news awhile back people getting cell phone bills of over $5,000 a month because they did not know that using Internet on a cell phone is really expensive.

This phone is great and I still see its for sale. I’m not a fan of the touch screen stuff, I prefer the buttons, since I know that the screen can get dirty quickly touching it all the time, and I also sometimes even dial numbers accidentally when my phone is in my pocket, I wouldn’t even want to think of what would happen with a Touch screen phone.
