Antec Three Hundred Case Review

Hi, BinaryDemon again. Usually when I start choosing parts to build a computer I tend to be very budget minded, but one of my favorite picks for case is always the Antec Three Hundred. Usually priced near $50, it is very high quality and professional looking. It is a large black steel mid-tower case that can easily accommodate the largest custom CPU cooling solutions and graphics cards. It comes with a 140mm top and 120mm exhaust fan, with room to add 3 more 120mm fans. Needless to say, the airflow in this case is excellent.
I love that the front bezel is easily removed and then its possible to open an access door to install/replace fans or hard disks. In a tight case, you would have to unscrew/disconnect hard drives, remove anything in the way like video cards, ram, etc and then remove the hard drive. In the Antec 300, simply unscrew/disconnect the hard drives and then pull them forward through the access doors.
It’s also an easily case to customize for different purposes. If you want a stylish gaming rig, simply install two colored LED fans in the front bezel. The glow shining through the metal mesh looks awesome. Use standard black fans and the case would at home in any office environment. The excellent airflow and ability to install 6 internal hard drives also make it ideal for a custom file server.
This case is basically a system builders dream.
Pros:
-Large for Mid-Tower, easy to work inside.
-Sturdy Steel construction
-Excellent Air Flow
-Excellent Value, compared to similar priced cases
Cons:
-Excellent Air Flow also makes it louder
-Bottom mounted PSU can create cable length issues depending on configuration
-No Side Panel Display Window
-No 3.5” bays
-Internal (PC) Speaker not included
