This is my review on the BenQ 24inch LCD monitor that I just got today, in the mail. This monitor is fantastic, I went from an old 15inch DELL LCD, (when LCDs were new), to this new great big monitor. I was a little bit hesitant to buy a monitor online, since at the store you can see them, and pick out the one you like best, but after doing some research and looking at what other people had to say who owned this monitor, there was many positive reviews, especially for the price range of it. When I opened the box, I was a little bit afraid of having any dead pixels, because I know that LCD monitors, you can be unlucky and get dead pixels on a screen, which doesn’t really effects the monitor that much if it’s just 1, and they probably won’t take it back because of 1 dead pixel, but this monitor had no dead pixels. This is a TN panel, so viewing this from different angels can be a bit blurry, but this monitor I’m only using it for the PC, so I don’t care since its going to be just in front of me. You can also use this monitor as a TV, since it supports HDMI connection, for XBOX 360, and PlayStation 3, high-def gaming. The 2ms refresh rate is great for gaming, and I notice it to be very quick, I actually improved my game with this monitor. The colors are good, and it came perfectly calibrated from the box, I didn’t have to change any setting’s they are perfect for me. The 1920X1200 is amazing for games, but make sure you have a graphics card that can support it, I’m running a Geforce 8800GT super clocked and it plays all my games fine at that resolution so far. A note is that this monitor has no speakers built in, only a headphone jack. The negative part about this monitor reported by a few people online, is its stand, its a bit weak, if you have an unstable desk that moves around a lot, but my desk is stable so that’s not a problem for me, and also the ability of only tilting the screen, there is no height adjustment or swivel from left to right, but that is minor unless you run a business and need to twist the monitor, so your customers can see the screen. Pretty much this is a great monitor for gaming, and everything, also for a great price, take note that the resoultion of this monitor is 1920×1200, most monitors in this price range for 24inch are 1920×1080, which means you have to mess with your game settings to make it look right.

I suggest you buy this monitor for an upgrade, if you have a 19inch or smaller, if you have a 22inch already I suggest you save your money for the LED technology in the near future, when prices drop and more are made.
